Our story

sales-i was established back in 2008, and we have since grown into a worldwide company. We blossomed from a simple idea from two salespeople who are now our co-founders, Paul Black and Kevin McGirl. A few years later, a dozen or so award wins, thousands of loyal customers and a skilled team that is truly second to none. Follow our journey below to discover our history in more detail and we hope that you’ll help us create the future of sales-i.

The story begins - 2008

sales-i was born in July 2008, back when Katy Perry was singing about kissing girls and Beyoncé and Jay-Z were getting hitched. A great year, we’re sure you’ll agree.

sales-i is founded by Paul and Kev in rainy Birmingham, UK. Greatness ensues.

We fought tooth and nail for grants that match Paul and Kev’s own personal investments.

We move into our very first office and gain a few employees along the way.

We’re the first UK company to make it through the Microsoft SaaS Incubation Center Program.

We score our very first American customer just in time for Christmas.

2009

5 fresh faces join the sales-i family.

Software geeks become software superstars as we scoop an ICT Excellence Award.

2010

The awards keep coming as we’re voted the Best New Product in the UK by the British Computing Society.

sales-i Inc is born in the Windy City and 7 new members join the team.

We exceed 20 sales-iers and our family continues to grow.

2011

sales-i goes mobile as we launch our very own App on the Apple App Store.

We celebrate our 250th customer with a good glass of bubbly.

2012

We hit the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list with a bang, coming in at #27.

We spawn 6 bouncing office babies/sales-iers by default.

Campaign Manager is born and sales-i comes to Android too.

The males in the office try to grow a mustache for Movember and Paul ends up looking like a Mafia hitman.

2013

The international sales-i family grows to 50 beautiful faces.

We move into a fancy new office in leafy Solihull, UK. Shame the weather isn’t much better though.

The team ploughs through a grueling 52 mile walk for charity.

Document Storage is introduced.

2014

Two of our bravest men complete the Chicago marathon with some impressive times.

Autopilot launches and makes meeting prep a breeze.

Best and Brightest names sales-i as one of the “best places to work” in Chicago.

2015

Enter our 80th employee.

The good times keep rolling and we make the Inc 5000 EMEA list.

Our UK and US teams both relocate to bigger, brighter offices
