New Release of sales-i Hits the Streets to Great Customer Acclaim

Flex-based, Rich Internet Application Wows sales-i users

Solihull, UK – May 17th, 2010 – sales-i, the sales & customer intelligence service for office-based and front-line sales people, today announced that it has upgraded its customers to a faster, richer and smoother version of sales-i.  The new release is written in Adobe Flex™ and uses Rich Internet Application (RIA) technology.

RIA’s are Web applications that have many of the characteristics of desktop applications. The sales-i Enquiries and Dashboards are now Flex-based and use full Rich Internet Application controls meaning customers get an enriched and more flexible tool to manage their sales and marketing intelligence.

Paul Black has been overseeing the strategy to deliver the sales-i application as a RIA and explains. “In today’s business environment, where customers are more demanding than ever and brand loyalty is increasingly difficult to obtain, deeper customer engagement is integral to an organisation’s success. RIAs can make customer interactions compelling, dynamic, and useful — in a word, engaging.  RIAs not only enable better configurations, they also allow firms to embed video and other contextual help content into applications.  With this new release we now open a future of great flexibility and an enriched sales-i experience for our clients and in turn their clients too.”

Customer reaction to the new release, (sales-i 6.4.2) has been very positive with many describing the new release as a “Massive improvement”, “Love the new interactive dashboard”, “Very user friendly”,  ‘Very Intuitive in its layout’.

Some of the new features in release 6.4.2 include

  • NEW interactive dashboard giving faster access to vital customer information
  • NEW trend-enabled profit view
  • NEW printable sales rep schedule

“This release and the technology that underpins it propels sales-i way ahead of its nearest rivals and we are already working on a number of exciting enhancements made possible by this new architecture,” adds Paul.
