The Associated Building Material Distributors of America (ABMDA) group is an association for independent building material and millwork wholesale distributors. Established back in 1975, ABM has an extensive network of member-distributors and exclusive supplier agreements with over 80 of the leading manufacturers in the United States and Canada.

The Association’s primary objective is to create an unsurpassable buying power for its members and to enhance their performance.

sales-i has recently joined the ABM’s growing network of allied suppliers and has already begun working with a number of members to optimize their sales efforts. Kevin McGirl, President for sales-i adds, “As an allied supplier to ABM and its members, we are pleased to have joined one of the fastest growing associations in the building industry. The level of passion and professionalism we have experienced with ABM thus far is second to none.”

ABM hosts an annual Convention celebrating the association, members and its allied suppliers. Acting as the stage for innovative new products and best practice, members have the opportunity to network over a three-day period from March 20 through 23. This year’s event will take place at a stunning venue in Bonita Springs, FL.

This will be the first ABM Convention sales-i has attended and we have already encountered early successes within the association and its members as companies including Mid-Am Building Supply, Building Material Distributors and Mid-Continent Lumber Supply are already on board.

President for ABM, Garry Tabor, selected sales-i as the single business intelligence and CRM supplier for his members after seeing the system in action. “After reviewing and interviewing a number of providers, we found that the sales-i platform was quite user-friendly, easy to implement and swift in its data mining operations.”

I'm the Marketing Manager here at sales-i and being in marketing I obviously love crayons and of course I have a toy Chewbacca on my desk (fully equipped with the 'Maaaaaarh' noise! I have worked in the technology industry for over 7 years and have a good grasp on what's happening in the industry. I also enjoy* the technical side of software development. *The term 'enjoy' relates to the very few occasions where the techy side actually goes to plan, otherwise replace with the term 'gets frustrated'.
