Midlands-based car racing team, PMR,  re-join BTCC and our name is all over it.

On Wednesday 19th August, Power Maxed Racing (PMR) announced their immediate and surprising return to the British Touring Car Championships (BTCC) to compete in the final seven rounds of the tournament.

After hearing the news that PMR was not taking part in this year’s rounds, naturally, we were disheartened and – like most! – hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel. Now, it’s the race to the finish line as they dive back into the competition with engines roaring.

Coming back with a bang, the Midlands-based team began firing all cylinders and returned at Oulton Park last weekend. With a plan to use a roster of drivers over the coming months, Mike Bushell was first in the hot seat and took to the track in one of PMR’s race-winning Astra’s.

Despite being fashionably late to the BTCC party, rounds three and four didn’t disappoint in terms of entertainment as Mike – the double Clio Cup UK champion – topped the times amongst the fastest on the track throughout the weekend, despite it being his first competitive event in the car. However, events conspired against the team and they couldn’t translate those fastest laps into final race positions.

Having sponsored PMR for three consecutive years, it’s brilliant to see the team back on the grid and doing what they do best. And with the brand-new sales-i logo being showcased for the first time on the team’s carsit couldn’t have been a better way to launch our rebrand.

Our new identity reflects our innovative and modern technology that connects the dots for our customers. The way that sales-i takes businesses from being all fired up and ready to take action, to having the ability to make those data-driven decisions that take them to the next level is similar to how PMR drive their team to success. With the right data, the right tools and the right information, you have the confidence to make the right decisions – on and off the track.

Giving the very first sneak preview of our new brand in this way not only strengthens our relationship with PMR but reinforces our place at the centre of the automotive industry, with many of our prospects and customers watching the races as they unfold. Undeniablywe are incredibly proud to sponsor PMR in another season and are grateful to promote our rebrand with an audience of millions watching the BTCC on ITV. Good luck to the PMR car racing team, we can’t wait for the action to take place.
