Our history.


Our journey to where we are today.

sales-i was established back in 2008, and we have since grown into a worldwide company.

We blossomed from a simple idea from two salespeople, our co-founders Paul Black and Kevin McGirl. A few years later we now have a dozen or so award wins, thousands of loyal customers and a skilled team that is truly second to none.

 

The aim of what we do is the same today as it was back in 2008; to help salespeople in the manufacturing, wholesale and distribution sectors sell smart, every day.

Our technology continues to evolve, meeting the needs of our customers with our roadmap of development continuing to add even more benefits for users.

2008

Our first 12 months.

We’re the first UK company to make it through the Microsoft SaaS Incubation Center Program. To add to our expanding UK customer base we land our first international customer in the US just before Christmas.

2009

Recognition already.

We win our first award with the ICT Excellence Award, as well as continuing to onboard more customers in the UK and US.

2010

sales-i arrives in the Windy City.

The awards keep coming as we’re voted the Best New Product in the UK by the British Computing Society. sales-i Inc is born in Chicago, USA.

2011

Our first mobile app.

sales-i goes mobile launching in the App Store. We also reach the milestone of 250 customers.

2012

More awards and recognition.

A busy year, sees us launch our Andriod app and more functionality with Campaign Manager. We also enter the Deloitte Technology Fast 50.

2013

50 employees.

The sales-i team grows to 50 and we move to new offices in Solihull, UK. Document Storage is the next feature added to what sales-i offers users.

2014

The best place to work.

Autopilot launches and makes prepping for meetings quick and easy. Best and Brightest names sales-i as one of the “best places to work” in Chicago.

2015

On the move again!

Both UK and US teams relocate to bigger, brighter offices as we continue to grow. We also make the Inc 5000 EMEA list.

2016

Success around the globe.

We secure our first customer in New Zealand as we expand the countries where we can offer sales-i. We are rated as a "High Performer" on G2, a rating which we have held for ever since.

2017

Only the best work at sales-i.

Paul Black nominated as one of the UK's Top Data Leaders. Trevor (the UK's office dog) joins and becomes our most loved employee ever.

2018

sales-i moves at 100mph.

Strengthening our links with the automotive sector we enter into a partnership with BTCC team, Power Maxed Racing. We also win our biggest client to date, who are also in the automotive world.

2019

Another milestone.

We reach 20,000 users on sales-i and carry on growing. Our migration to Microsoft Azure is complete, massively increasing the future potential of sales-i.

2020

Rise to the challenge.

The challenges of 2020 don't hold us back as we introduce our new identity. We also graduate from Microsoft's Scale-up program.
