sales-i has today announced a partnership with the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM). Partnering with the ISMM not only recognizes sales-i’s dedication to professional and efficient selling but also promotes a lasting commitment to the sales function.

As the worldwide representative body for sales people, the ISMM is the perfect partner for sales-i. Founded in 1911 to promote standards of excellence in sales and sales management, the institute is now the authoritative voice of selling, ethics and best practice within the sales profession.

The two organizations will be working together over the coming months, including creating a number of white papers, advising and supporting sales professionals, and sponsoring the hugely successful annual ISMM event for the sales profession, Successful Selling.

Producing quality sales professionals is at the very core of the ISMM and sales-i is keen to enhance the selling ability of these individuals through their sales management tool. The ability to sell intelligently in somewhat difficult economic times is crucial. Joining the ISMM is an opportunity for sales professionals to become the very best through recognized training, key selling skills and the inside knowledge of sales development tools such as sales-i.

“There is a lot of synergy between sales-i and the training and consultancy provided by the ISMM and its members, we are excited to be working closely with these organizations to make a marked impact within the selling profession,” says Paul Black, CEO and co-founder of sales-i. “This partnership will bring sales-i to the forefront amongst the sales community and sales-i will be joining the extensive network of ISMM members and associates.”

Ben Turner, Head of Sales for the ISMM, said: “sales-i are an excellent partner for the ISMM, we’ve been massively impressed with their commitment to professional selling. Not only this, but we love sales-i as a product that can add genuine value to the sales function.”

He continues, “In a competitive environment, sales-i can help sales forces to sell more, it’s that simple. This is the perfect management tool to help increase sales performance – we couldn’t be happier to be working with them!”

Paul Black adds: “Our partnership with the ISMM is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our passion for the sales profession. At sales-i, we see businesses of all sizes, across every industry striving to optimize their sales teams, and that is exactly what sales-i does. Partnering with the ISMM will help us to promote ways of helping businesses to grow and improve their sales performance. This is the beginning of what will be a lasting, productive and exciting relationship for both sales-i and the ISMM.”

About The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management

The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management  is the UK’s largest association for sales professionals. Founded in 1911 to promote standards of excellence in sales and sales management and to enhance the status and profile of sales as a profession, the institute supports, represents and promotes the sales profession. It has been the authoritative voice of selling and the custodian of sales standards, ethics and best practice for many years.

They are also responsible for establishing benchmarks of professionalism in sales. It is the only membership body recognized by the UK Government regulatory body Ofqual as an awarding organization to offer qualifications in sales, marketing and sales management.

Their annual British Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards (BESMA) are the most prestigious awards for the sales profession.

I’m another marketing bod here at sales-i (that is marketing exec come social secretary, branded wardrobe, stationary cupboard, fixer of the printer and chief maker of a terrible cup of tea). I get to work with the two delights that are Chris and Steve who have taken it upon themselves to educate me on all things football and Star Wars. I’m a Villa or Birmingham City fan depending on which of them you ask. I really rather enjoy reading and writing (I’m not that great at the maths thing, as Chris will tell you). What I lack in Star Wars and football knowledge, I make up for with a keen eye for a good wine and a great impression of a Wookie.
